docuBOX was created to enrich the I.T. environment of small businesses by introducing a document control system readily configured in a Windows 2008 Server environment over your existing office network. The system will provide you with effective tools to control all your business documents and apply the appropriate security on document access for all your office staff.
docuBOX package consists of a user-friendly, reliable and efficient document control software, tightly integrated into Windows SharePoint Services (WSS), to support document-based business operations while maintaining tight security on document access and eliminating the risk resulting from loss of documents. The package also includes an HP Server along with a professional Scanner.
Through a simple document scanning function embedded in the WSS interface made available in all pre-defined document libraries; users can simply upload any document through a straightforward scanning process, as the system easily guides users through choosing the scanner and then keying-in the required pre-defined metadata. Then, users are able to link the newly uploaded document to any already existing related documents. Users can then choose any archived document and are able to view directly other related documents in the same document library as well as other document libraries.
Moreover, the system automatically generates a registration reference for both incoming and outgoing correspondence documents. This registration reference can be customized to have a pre-defined syntax and the system administrator can define a different syntax for different document libraries. This registration reference provides an effective means for document control.
